The staff at Xenia Rural Water District is dedicated to providing customers with quality water and superior service through team work, innovative vision, and cutting edge technologies. We continuously strive to increase efficiency to better serve our customers.



The District’s operational team includes 12 individuals with a combined 150 years of experience in planning, organizing, and facilitating water and wastewater projects. The District employs a highly experienced construction crew of more than 55 individuals with over 260 years of combined experience in utility construction. Additionally, we operate construction equipment capable of installing all of the water mains within our system.

Xenia Rural Water District is currently the only water district in the state of Iowa to possess this capability. To date, over 3000 miles of utility pipeline haves been installed by our construction crews. Xenia Rural Water District also provides city standard services and installs fire flows to meet city specifications when requested.

A specialized community technician crew is assigned to handle routine maintenance and repairs in all of the communities we serve. These individuals are familiar with the specifications of city water and wastewater systems and represent another of Xenia Rural Water District’s continuing effort to provide dependable, uninterrupted service to all customers.

Members of the Xenia team perform in an advisory capacity to numerous water systems throughout the nation. We successfully partner with counties, communities, developers, and individuals to design and implement thriving water and waste water projects.
